About Us:

The Journery So Far:

In 1984 the Dundee Hindu community led by voluntary contributions and generous support from the Dundee City Council; the Mandir and community centre were established and has been managed over the years by the next generation of Hindu volunteers. DHCCC plays a central role for the local ethnic minority community. DHCCC is the only place of worship for Hindus in this region.

This place offers opportunity for individuals and families to celebrate festivals like Diwali, Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. along with different functions and events. This community centre is critical to ensure that the ever-growing number of people continue to attend and enjoy these functions.

This sacred space offers a wide range of social and spiritual services to senior citizens, children and youth, students, new migrants. DHCCC ensures that the local community is benefited by catering to their social, cultural, spiritual, and emotional needs and by fostering healthy relationships among and between different age groups.

The Future:

A New Home, A New Horizon

The centre is a hub for the use of the local community to ensure a healthy, active, and economically thriving population. DHCCC and Hindu temple is led by a committee of people who are willing to work tirelessly for the great unified cause to serve the community.

This centre is not only be one of the greatest assets in the region for the current generation but will be a great gift and a landmark for future generations who believe in Sanatana Dharma and its principles.

The prominence of Dundee extends to the national level. Playing a crucial role in the establishment of Scottish Hindu Foundation. The National representative body for Hindus in Scotland.

As the number of devotees grow, plans are being put together to search for and acquire a new home so that a new home can service the many needs of not only the local Hindu Community but also fellow Dundonians.

Working at both local, regional and national level - Dundee Hindu Mandir and Cultural Centre has a bright future ahead and we invite those with a like mind to share in the journey.
